Round Moon, Stronger Liming Bonds
Beijing Daxing International Airport—dubbed “the Phoenix” by the world’s media—opened in 2019 and instantly rewrote the rulebook for mega-projects. Guardian even crowned it #1 on its “New Seven Wonders” list. A gold-red bird ready for take-off, it pairs with Capital Airport in a classic “Dragon-Phoenix” dual-hub set-up that screams both power and balance.
Numbers first.

Single-building terminal footprint: 1.4 million m².
Core zone alone: 700 000 m²—big enough to park 25 football fields under one roof.
Roof grid: 18 000 t of steel, 12 000 spherical nodes, 60 000 members, zero repetition.
8 000+ glass panels—each one unique—turn the ceiling into a giant snowflake made of daylight.

But the real flex is the skin: shimmering, feather-like metal cladding that wraps every compound curve—positive, negative, lateral, you name it. That finish had to be flawless, millimetre-perfect, and repeatable at industrial speed. Translation: the roll-forming machines had to be next-level.
Enter Xiamen Zheng Liming Metallurgical Machinery. From day one our R&D squad embedded with designers and general contractors, running endless FEA loops and tooling trials. Target: cold-form 0.7–1.2 mm PVDF-coated aluminium panels into free-form, multi-axis curvatures without a single wrinkle, kink or tolerance drift.
Mission impossible? We like those.

Chairman Huang Yizhong locked in our A-team.
20+ bespoke roll-forming lines engineered, built and commissioned in record time.
Closed-loop CNC crown adjustment, laser-guided edge tracking, and real-time spring-back compensation pushed repeatability to ±0.3 mm on 40 m spans.

Lines cranked 24/7 to hit the brutal schedule without a single non-conforming panel.
End result: every metallic feather on the Phoenix flows seamlessly into the next, catching sunrise like molten gold. When passengers look up and go “wow,” they’re looking at precision delivered by Zheng Liming machines. Another super-project, another proof that Chinese cold-roll forming tech isn’t just playing in the big leagues—it’s setting the pace.
